i feel really bad for skipping uni today - especially after soumitri put all that effort into his website - though i did enjoy reading it. today was such a nice day - with teh sun, i played a game of volley ball. then i went inside to finish my lamp. i thought it would work ok, but i have tried so many things to make it work, but it just keeps going flaccid on me. i shoudl add some viagra - a friend suggested. i'm looking for something i can spray onto it to make it more rigid - i might try wetting it and then hanging and lettign ti dry.
i will haev to go buy another roll of paper if i need to do it again.

What im doing for my lamp is coating the whole this with shelac (sp?) so that i dont need a frame. Maybe something like that could help with structural issues..
you fucking legend! that would make it quite rigid wouldnt it? and maybe smell a bit funny. i'll bring some paper to workshop on wednesday and we can try it out. and you can experiment with the jap paper too if you want...

This iswhat Gaudi used to do - hang things. You can get some pretty magical effects with hanging. Then you can make it rigid - shellac etc - and then turn it the right way up.
