individuality
I realised that I need to be more individual with my presentation. I want to apply this different thinking, and learning in other ways to everything I do in design – because whats the point of doing something which has been done before. Especially if I can create something more vibrant, entertaining, and ultimately something which produces (oops – naughty word) incredible.. objects, systems etc.
I want to be different and I want to be proud of it. I’m sick of being stuck in A3 folio bound along the left hand side, 3 pages of thumbnails, copic rendering, etc. I’M GOING TO BREAK OUT!!!!
alice was telling me about thsi guy in her class who did his final architecture presentation in spraypaint/stencil. how cool, how individual!
i'm going to leave behind the constraints etc, and be myself for a change...!
lets fuck off this magazine idea - and do something which is ours - an A2 poster, or a presentation, flash animation, flip book, performance, song, window presentation. something which is interesting, different, but still fulfills the needs we have. but overall soemthing whcih hasn't been done before... lets stop beign the sheep///

Now you are talking. Take risks. Must confess I was a bit worried at this mag/book idea. I do have a book like thing which is 35 pages long and will become 100 - 200 if I document the 20 blogs and put lots of images in. But that is just that - a document. Its passive and is something I can do for you all. So you have a record - footprints in the sand.
But what about more films, more creativity, more of the same old stuff we started the sem with.
For me the documentation is not in a thing - it is you, yourselves that are the documentation. So why not all of you get interviewed on video and we put it together as a short film. Or play a game, steve's, to figure out different things that could be done.
I worry that some of you haven't hada chance to play the games, because they were not in class, or were not involved and are wanting all of that now.
excellent. we will do something different. maybe we should break up into 3 groups,a dn play steves game with respect to what outcome or documentation we want out of this course.
there should be a multitude of answers - and then everyone will ahve got to play at least one game.
perhaps we can do it next week in the park?
as well as a group documentation, i plan to do a personal one, something different and individual. i'll keep you posted...
T-Shirts dude, you seem to love the shirts & stencils or i should say clothing & stencils
Yeah something different! Something fun, yes we should have our own documents also I plan on making one too. I love the idea of the wall on level four a collection of ideas on display for all to view. I am sure the creators of the posters can sit back and watch us puzzle over what it all means. That's what it should do trigger thought and questions, so the learning never stops and the class never ends. It can be added to.
great idea - soemthing never ending. but isnt that a bit like a ...plog - paper blog?
